Nigel Quashie - Squad #11
Whilst learning his trade at QPR the youngster gained a glowing reputation rewarded with an England U21 call-up. His standing paved the way for a massive £2.5 million move to Nottingham Forest in the close season of 1995, before eventually signing for Portsmouth for £600,000 in the summer of 2000.
Quashie is a superb combative midfielder possessing a very open attacking style. Never afraid to run with the ball and take players on, he is known for his strong work ethic and forceful tackling. Although displaced as captain by Paul Merson last season, Quashie is an extremely influential player at Pompey and a BIG Fratton favourite. |
