Morna signs for Pompey
Confirmation has been received that Belgian side Anderlecht have sold Croatian striker Ivica Morna to Portsmouth.
It is understood that the 30-year-old has signed a two-and-a-half year contract with the added provisio of an extra year for a fee of 700,000 Euros.
This will come as great relief to Harry Redknapp as Teddy Sheringham is the only fit striker at Fratton Park at the moment.
Anderlecht offered Mornar a contract extension for two extra seasons two weeks ago but the player asked for an improved deal, which was turned down by the Brussels club.
Mornar has scored 10 goals this term for Anderlecht where he has been since the 2001-02 season.
Before that he had a spell at Standard Liege after playing for Spanish sides Sevilla and Orense.
