Harper to serve ban
Kevin Harper who was sent off during the Reserves match against Derby on Tuesday of last week has received a four match ban. Unfortunately for the player, due to the serverity of the offence this will also include first team matches as well.
The player was sent walking following an alleged elbow assault which the Scotsman vehemently refutes. The ban will be effective from the 27th January 2004. Harper will not be available for selection (depending on the FA Cup result) until either LIverpool on the 21st Feb or Newcastle on the 28th February.
