Pompey make offer for veteran Austrian midfielder
Brescia have recently revealed that a total of three English clubs, including Portsmouth, have made offers for the services of their veteran midfielder Markus Schopp.
The 29-year-old Austrian international, who joined the Serie A side in 2001 from Sturm Graz, has made a total of 11 league appearances for the Rondinelle this season.
'We have received three offers by Tottenham, Portsmouth and West Ham,' Brescia sporting director Gianluca Nani said.
'All of them are interested in acquiring Markus Schopp in January. We are evaluating the offers and we will reach a decision by the end of the week.'
'The player is quite happy to remain at Brescia, but he is a professional and he understands that there is a possibility that he could play elsewhere,' Nani added.
It is understood that Schopp is under contract to the club until June 2005.
