Shaka Hislop - Squad #1
A goalkeeper of superlative class and distinction and one who needs no introduction. Hislop became a legend at his former club Reading during his 126 game spell at Elm Park between 1992-1995. His performance earned him a £1.5 million move to Newcastle. Hislop transferred to West Ham Utd in 1998 under Harry Redknapp, unfortunately under Glen Roeder's regime there was little chance for first team football at the Hammers following the signing of David James, a situation which paved the way for his eventual move to the south coast. |
